Here at En Pointe, we offer a variety of optional performance opportunities for your child. Whether in our annual show, or through taking part in local dance festivals & competitions, we think it's important for our pupils to be able to showcase all their hard work in lessons. ​ Find out more below, and contact us if your child is interested!
The En Pointe Showcase
Our annual showcase takes place every summer at The Albany Theatre in Coventry. Our show rehearsals usually begin in January, once we have completed our winter examination session with ABD. Children are rewarded for strong exam performance, technical improvement, dedication & work ethic in class by being offered the opportunity to perform solos, duets, trios or small group numbers in the showcase.​ Participation in the showcase is optional (but encouraged!), and children are always more than welcome to continue coming to classes and learning the routines even if they are not able to perform them. ​The En Pointe showcase is always our favourite time of the year, and we can't wait to share our future ideas with you!
Competitions & Festivals
In addition to the En Pointe showcase, all pupils have the opportunity to perform and compete in local dance festivals & competitions. We have private lesson slots available in order to learn solos, duets or trios, and our group numbers are rehearsed in the timetabled 'Festival' classes. We compete in a range of styles, including ballet, tap, modern, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre & street/commercial. Whilst we are dedicated to helping our dancers become the very best they can be, our approach to competitive dance is built on ensuring a fun & memorable team-building experience for our pupils, in order to increase their confidence in performing and widen their overall skill-set. Our Festival classes are packed with energy, enthusiasm & encouragement, and are designed to give our pupils even more opportunities to showcase their hard work in class, and experience the excitement of performing on stage.​For more information, please speak to Grace or email enpointedanceschool@gmail.com.
