Grace Bend (Principal)

Grace trained at Three Spires Dance School from the age of 3 and completed British Ballet Organisation examinations in ballet, tap, modern and jazz with a 100% distinction rate. She then trained for pointe and ballet exams with the International Dance Teacher’s Association at KT School of Dance, achieving the school’s highest mark, before returning to the BBO syllabi at Love Ballet Dance Company. After starting to work as a dance teaching assistant at the age of 16, Grace qualified as a dance teacher with the Associated Board of Dance, the board which we use for our examinations at En Pointe. Following this, she established the school in 2016 and has continued to grow it alongside studying for a BA in Modern Languages and an MA in Translation and Cultures, which she completed in 2020. ​Grace also has a Musical Theatre background and has gained experience both in amateur and professional productions. She started performing in professional pantomimes from the age of nine and then went on to perform in numerous Musical Theatre shows both as a dancer/ensemble and as a principle. She has also had training in Acting for Camera and singing lessons with industry professionals. Most recently, she played the role of Wendy in Peter Pan at the Belgrade Theatre and returned there at the end of 2022 to play Ellie the Elf in Imagine Theatre’s Santa’s Christmas Rescue. She has also recently done voice demos for a new musical, Reality Bites. ​Grace received a distinction in her Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre in 2023. She is also a qualified Reformer Pilates Instructor, Level 2 Gym Instructor and has a diploma in Nutrition. She is currently working towards her Level 3 Personal Training Qualification. Grace loves sharing her passion for dance and performing arts with her students and seeing them grow in confidence with each performance and exam session that we do. She is also an associate tutor of French at the University of Warwick.​Grace is fully DBS checked & has completed a First Aid training course and Child Safeguarding courses.
