ALICE MADDEN
Alice started dancing at the age of 3 at a local Coventry dance school where she trained and took exams in British Ballet Organisation (BBO) ballet, tap, modern, jazz and acro. At the age of 9, she started pre-vocational classes at Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham where she took ballet classes every Saturday for 6 years.
As a teenager she trained at JVS Performing Arts in Nuneaton where she took examinations in Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet and (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) tap and modern. Whilst she was a student at JVS, she had the opportunity to compete in dance competitions across the region as well as perform in annual shows and at theatres including the London Palladium.
During her time at university, she continued dancing for her university’s dance society where she picked up Latin and Ballroom and became the advanced ballet teacher.
Alice lived in Spain for 3 years where she taught English to children of all ages. Since returning to England she has loved being part of the adult classes at En Pointe and can’t wait to get to know all of the students here!
